My Belief about Abstract Realism
Abstract Realism, allows the gathering, the touching, of the tangible and intangible of life, that which we see, and that which seeps through -- our past, good and bad, our hopes, our bruises, and often the magic I still see in possibilities. And the color, oh how color touches my soul and asks me to dance with life. (Kimberly)
Exploring the World Inside & Out
A vision, an idea, an experience all, for me, become a desire to paint. Art is a doorway into soul space. Follow the desire to know yourself better. Then find hidden corners of the world. Really look at the miracles of color and form around you. Experience life. Exploration leads me to art. For you, it may encourage you to live a bigger, brighter, more vivid life.

A Formal Definition
Abstract Realism ART
Abstract Realism challenges the traditional divide between realism and abstraction, proving that art can harmoniously embody both. In this style, familiar subjects—like people, landscapes, or everyday objects—are rendered with a twist. Artists use bold colors, loose brushstrokes, and unconventional compositions to add emotional or imaginative layers to their work.
Unlike traditional realism, Abstract Realism is not about perfect replication. Instead, it incorporates abstraction to evoke mood, energy, or impressions, allowing artists the freedom to infuse their work with personal expression while keeping it anchored in recognizable forms. (Milan Institute)

Why we Read
Books are a refuge, a doorway into a magical time and place. They offer a glimpse or a dive into another lived experience. They can be informational, imaginative, exciting, inspirational, but the gift offered in their pages cannot be denied.
The therapeutic books of PANS/PANDAS, and Loving All of Me both offer information, wisdom and strategies. They are the two non fiction books in my collection.
How Inspiration became Children's Books
I moved to Canada immediately before covid, and bought a house on a mountainside. I started meeting with a psychologist group with a goal of restarting private practice and bam, everything was shut down.
How was I to use my time, how was I to be productive? My love for writing, for reading, and my years of psychologist's wisdom looking for an outlet became a journey into writing, finding a publisher, and diving into the endless imagination I have always had.
The Collections
Early Readers are books to begin at birth with. Research strongly shows a correlation between a child's language acquisition and the number of words they hear. Read, read, read to even the littlest one.
The Sibley books came from my lifelong struggle with nightmares and sleep. What are the strategies to help with nighttime fears? Find them here.
Marshmallow is the magical cat of Avry, who is hypersenstive, has huge anxiety, and is perfect just the way she is. A series of books delve into her life, and offer many strategies in their pages.
